This fly is a pattern originated by Major John Popkin Traherne. His flies are often considered to be the most artistic flies of the Victorian era. This fly has been dressed on a B&R Playfair Limerick 5/0 hook. This pattern utilizes Jungle Cock eyes to form the upper and lower wings of the fly along with multiple Golden Pheasant crests to form the topping.
